Carolyn was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and now lives with her husband Jim on Cedar Creek Lake in Star Harbor where she was fortunate enough to be one of a very unique group of ladies that got together and developed SHWS in order to further their love of watercolor through sharing with each other and learning from workshop artists.
Carolyn has studied under talented teachers such as John Billings, Ann Moye, Dorothy Johnson, Joyce Hicks, Cecy Turner, Charles Reid, Jerry Stitt, Janet Rogers, Frank Webb, Ken Hosmer, Sharon Rouse, Debbie Cannatella, and Bonnie Broitzman. She also credits much of her knowledge from the many hours of painting and sharing, and helpful critiquing that the members of SHWS have together each week.
“ Much can be learned from painting with friends on Friday paint days.”
